All attendees wore face masks in compliance with the COVID-19 prevention rules and maintained the necessary healthy distance between each other. This was followed by Bambang Soesatyo, Chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), reading out Pancasila’s five points, and La Nyalla Mattalitti, Speaker of the Regional Representative Council (DPD), reading out the 1945 Constitution preamble.
Speaker Puan Maharani of the House of Representatives (DPR) later read out and signed the pledge to continuously uphold Pancasila ‘s national philosophy as the pillar of the state.
