Among the highlights of Festival 27 ‘Tnalak 2026 is its evening celebration of Rakrakan sa T’nalak which makes Koronadal City a lively food, music, shopping and fun city. The event takes place to commemorate South Cotabato’s 60th Founding Anniversary while providing the visitors a chance to enjoy the province’s richly inbuilt nightlife and appreciate the rich culture of the Tri-People residing in the province.
At the same time as the festival, July 1–18, 2026, thousands of people come out every night to enjoy Rakrakan sa T’nalak. From tasty local fare to bargains on sale to live music shows, you’re sure to enjoy something extra out of the ordinary after dark at this festival hotspot.
What is Rakrakan sa T’nalak?
The festival’s main part of the evening entertainment is the Rakrakan sa T’nalak. During the day, cultural entertainment, civic events and religious feasts take place while at night, Rakrakan turns into a town buzzing with activity; including trade fairs, craftsmen’ exhibition, concerts, food bazaars and children’s entertainment.
The event showcases the creativity and hospitality of the South Cotabato Province, while giving the local entrepreneurs, food vendors, musicians and artists a venue to display their talents. Those who attend the festival are likely to want to spend an entire evening exploring the different areas of the festival grounds.
Food Strip Map: Where to Eat?
One of the heaviest hitters in Rakrakan is the Food Strip located down Waling-Waling Street, close to the festival grounds. This is set up as a space for dozens of food vendors to set up a stall with traditional Filipino and any kind of street food items.
There are also about 55 refreshment stands and 13 dedicated food stalls available for visitors this year with one of the biggest food markets in the province. It is said that some of the favorite dishes are seafood dishes which are grilled, BBQ, roasted chicken, local rice dishes, fresh fruit beverages, halo-halo, and even regional dishes based on the food traditions of South Cotabato.
If you don’t want to join the longest line, you should arrive between 5:00 PM and 6:30 PM. If the performances begin after dusk, this is a good time to go or if it’s a late show, early dinner.
Ukay-Ukay Stalls and Shopping Area
The festival’s Ukay-Ukay Market, which runs along Bonifacio Street, is the place where shopping enthusiasts can find a wealth of activities to do. About 32 ukay-ukay stalls are expected to take part with most of the stalls having deals on dress, shoes, bags, fashion accessories, and household items.
In addition to second-hand fashion, consumers can also peruse the souvenir booths that offer handmade goods, locally made textiles, native crafts, handmade jewelry, and gift articles for the souvenirs of South Cotabato’s cultural heritage. Numerous vendors also sell genuine T’nalak-inspired accessories and more, and the market is an ideal location to order authentic souvenirs.
It is recommended that visitors understand the prices at their different stalls, and the discount offers are made, particularly during the final days of the festival.
Nightly Band Lineups and Live Entertainment
At sunset, Rakrakan sa T’nalak changes to an open-air concert arena where one can enjoy performances. Every night a concert is held in the main concert area near the South Cotabato Sports Complex parking area with local bands, emerging artists, dance groups, cultural acts, etc. performing there.
The much-anticipated Battle of the Bands, featuring quality bands from different municipalities in South Cotabato, should also be revived. Performances are also scheduled with invited guest artists, cultural displays are presented by native communities and there is lively music throughout the festival into the late night hours.
The performance list is typically made available closer to the event date by the organizer but the audience can look forward to entertainment from about 6:00 PM onwards throughout the night.

Festival Tips for Visitors
Wearing comfortable clothes and walking shoes is highly recommended as a lot of Rakrakan sa T’nalak is a walkable place. It is also a good idea to carry cash as very small shops and stalls selling food may not accept digital currency.
Early birders should get a head start should they wish to catch the night performances, particularly on weekends when crowds are largest. Roadside parking may be restricted near the Sports Complex and public transport or ride sharing are an alternative.
