saudi arabia announces significant changes for hajj 2025

Saudi Arabia has announced a string of important measures for Hajj 2025. The latest rule prohibits children from performing the holy pilgrimage. The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah highlighted that this decision is meant to protect children.

This decision is also intended to make the annual pilgrimage to Mecca more seamless for all attendees. There is another measure. For Hajj 2025, first-time pilgrims are going to be given preference, reported the Economic Times.

This measure is aimed at letting more Muslims make the most of the opportunity to perform the sacred journey at least once in their lifetime. Saudi citizens and residents can apply for Hajj 2025 through the Nusuk app or the official site.

To ease the financial burden, Saudi Arabia has also introduced an installment-based payment option for domestic pilgrims. Starting February 1, the Kingdom has been issuing only single-entry visas for Hajj participants from 14 countries.
