MANILA – San Miguel Corporation (SMC) and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has officially opened the final section of Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).
The 89.21-kilometer TPLEX aims to speed up travel to and from Northern Luzon. The final section is an 11-kilometer segment that will reduced the travel time from Metro Manila-to-Baguio to just 3 1/2hrs from the previous six hours
Sison and Pangilinan toll exit were added the further help the locals on travel.
SMC is also proposing an extension project will cover some 59 kilometers. According to President of SMC Ramong Ang, the next goal will be to extend TPLEX all the way to San Juan. Extending the expressway will benefit many region in the nothern Luzon.
San Miguel Corporation is committed on infrastructure investments as it will create more jobs and keep the supply flow of goods and services and eventually pave the way for tourism. TPLEx now has 10 interchanges and 11 toll plazas.
