Squid Game Fame actress Lee Joo-sil merged with the stars
The South Korean actress who received global recognition and fame after appearing in the acclaimed and most celebrated web series “Squid Game 2” took her last breath on February 2, 2025 as per the given information. She has been suffering from stomach cancer and it took her life at the age of eighty. One of the sources from her agency has stated that Lee found the cancer three months ago while undergoing a regular medical checkup. On February 2nd she was taken to hospital due to a cardiac arrest in the morning and the doctor reported that she passed away.
The renowned actress Lee kicked off her acting career in 1965 by committing herself in the live theatres. She shaped herself to fit into the acting profession ideally through years of experience and perseverance. Some of the notable movies from her filmography are, “A Single Spark, Face, Black House, Le Grand Chef, The Tower, Oh My Ghost, Train to Busan, The Sword with no Name, and The Witch’s Diner”. Her outstanding performance has been recognised at the 24th Baeksang Arts Awards and presented her ‘Best Theatre Actress’ Award to her.
Previously, the eminent actress Lee Joo was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1993 with conviction and strong will power she recovered from it ten years later. But unfortunately, she was diagnosed with stomach cancer a few months ago and she was battling with her declining health. She couldn’t get out of its grip, and embraced the eternal on Feb 2. 1230 Culture, the agency of Lee stated that fans and mourners can pay their last respect to the veteran actress on Feb 4 and on Feb 5 the funeral procession will take place.
