With Thanksgiving and Black Friday just around the corner, it means that customers from the Philippines can finally indulge in some shopping abroad and have to deal with possible delivery delays. Thanksgiving is Nov. 26, 2026, with Black Friday Nov. 27.
People who are buying products from American retailers would have to be careful about planning their purchases ahead of time. This Black Friday 2026 guide looks at shipping time, customs and travel. To me, the most important thing is a reliable delivery, not getting the lowest price.
Black Friday 2026 Shipping Deadlines and Courier Closures
UPS’s official holiday schedule says that regular packages picked up and delivered in the United States on Thanksgiving Day are suspended and then resume Black Friday. Philippine buyers should check with the seller about the dispatch dates, international transit time and courier-specific time limits before ordering.
Thanksgiving Delivery Planning for Philippine Shoppers
There may be delays in processing and delivery of international orders during festive sales. Before you pay, I suggest you verify the expected arrival time, availability and return policies. If you have to buy a gift ahead of time, this is a good idea because it will give you more options.
Philippine Customs Fees and Import Requirements
The Bureau of Customs (BOC) in the Philippines normally does not collect import duties and taxes on goods having an import value of up to PHP10,000.00. Charges may apply for higher value purchases. Consumers should keep their receipts and provide correct values and verify any regulations regarding regulated items.
Holiday Travel Logistics and Airport Preparation
Passengers traveling between the Philippines and the USA should be prepared for the high volume of travellers during the holidays and extra time for airport transfers. Arriving three hours prior to international flights and two hours before domestic flights are recommended by PAL.
