Anti-vaxxers have it tough. PM claims it’s their fault.

Malaysia – Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob stated that the government has no desire to put the people through difficulty, and those who are opposed to the Covid-19 vaccination are experiencing difficulties as a result of their own choices.

He added that even if the Covid-19 immunization is not yet mandated, it has made life simpler for people who have gotten it, such as traveling.

According to him, it is not the government that intentionally makes it difficult for people who do not take the vaccination, it is for the reason why he encourages individuals who have not yet got the vaccine to do so in order for them to also benefit from the facilities.

As a result of their duty to protect others, taking the Covid-19 vaccination reduces the chance of infection and reduces the severity of illness symptoms in the case they get sick.

Ismail Sabri made the remark at a news conference following the donning of rank ceremony for Bera police head Mansor Samsudin at Bera District Police Headquarters, when he was promoted from DSP to Superintendent.

Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani presided over the event. N. Kumaran, a deputy superintendent of police in Bera who formerly served as an assistant superintendent, has also been elevated to the rank of superintendent of police.

Last week, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin told a parliamentary committee that the government planned to impose several difficulties for those who refused to take the vaccination.

There are difficulties that people who reject vaccines will continue to confront since the need that persons be completely vaccinated against Covid-19 is not only enforced by the Malaysian government but also by other quarters and nations, as stated by the Prime Minister.

Only those who are completely vaccinated may conduct umrah, and next year, the haj pilgrimage will be available to them. Those who are not immunized face difficulties because of the Saudi Arabian government’s requirement.

Ismail Sabri said it was a fine idea, but the Public Service Department (JPA) needed to look into it carefully when asked if the condition in the upcoming recruitment of public employees will include the need for applicants to be fully vaccinated.

However, he said that the PSD must examine many issues, including legal ones. Since the deadline for public employees to receive the vaccination is Nov. 1, action may only be taken against individuals who are already employed.
