The Kingdom of Thailand is officially preparing for the biggest colourful celebration of its life. The final official timetable has been released, and there’s a lot of excitement building in Southeast Asia. This year’s celebration has historic significance, as the country’s historic marriage equality laws have been implemented.
The organizers have created a wide-ranging week-long campaign to ensure the metropolis becomes a shining global beacon of visibility. If you’re looking to get right into it, it’s important to stay up to date on the logistics to ensure a successful weekend getaway. A great deal of planning is required for the huge number of people who are expected to attend over 350,000.
This year’s highlight is the completely redesigned course to serve record attendance from around the world. The new circuit will be much longer than the previous one and will provide much more space for the participants to enjoy the performances without harm.
| Route Milestone | Location / Junction |
| Starting Point | Nararom Intersection / Chong Nonsi |
| Main Hub | Silom Road District |
| Transition Zone | Henri Dunant Road |
| Final Arena | Thephasadin Stadium (via Rama I Road) |
The event officially begins at Nararom Intersection near Khlong Chong Nonsi Public Park. The parade will then ride straight through the centre of Silom Road, the epic centre of local queer culture. This particular section will host a historic visual display with the 500m long rainbow flag unfurled across the avenue.
The vibrant columns will then wind up the central business districts onto Henri Dunant Road and Rama I Road. The whole 4.8 km track ends at the huge Thephasadin Stadium. It’s recommended that people arrive along the path early, since buses and trains are likely to be very busy toward the center intersections.

The broader festival runs across five consecutive days, mixing political advocacy with world-class queer entertainment. The activities are explicitly split into distinct signature pillars.
The festival will kick off on May 28 with Bangkok Pride Awards 2, which is the second annual awards ceremony. The exclusive event takes place at Siam Paragon’s Nex Hall and celebrates individuals, artists, and companies in the region that have led the way in enacting and promoting legislative and social development in Thailand during the last year.
The Bangkok Pride Forum will be an intellectual exchange forum from May 28 to June 1. The forum will span 35 separate panels on the upper floors of Siam Center, as well as in the innovative SCBX Next Tech space. The topics discussed are related and overlap, such as human rights, the regional economy of tourism, and access to healthcare.
The highlight experience is on Sunday, May 31. The main procession begins exactly at 2:00 PM and continues until late into the night at 10:00 PM. The column is split into six thematic, colored areas:
Pro Tip: Stay until the very end at the stadium. The evening closing ceremony features an expansive showcase by the famous traditional Thai “mor lam” performance troupe, Rabiab Wathasin, blending heritage sounds with high-energy queer spectacle.
To maximize your holiday experience during the busiest weekend of the season, follow these basic travel steps:
Yes, the primary outdoor procession winding through Silom and Rama I Road is completely free and open to all members of the public without prior ticket bookings.
The major showcases are held under the Drag Bangkok Festival banner, running across partner stages inside Siam Center and specialized nightlife blocks throughout Silom Soi 4.
While the floats move at 2:00 PM, spectators should aim to secure their spots along the sidewalks near the Chong Nonsi transit pathways by 12:30 PM to avoid heavy security barriers.
