Who is Bea Millan-Windorski? Know about the Crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026

The quest to find the next Filipina to conquer the universe led to a spectacular coronation night on May 2, 2026. Beatrice “Bea” Millan-Windorski of La Union was officially declared Miss Universe Philippines 2026 taking the center stage at Mall of Asia Arena. Bea, the daughter of the late, adorable Ahtisa Manalo, will now have the expectations of millions on her shoulders as she gets ready to represent the nation in the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico this November.

The Journey of Miss Universe Philippines 2026 winner Bea Millan-Windorski

Bea Millan-Windorski is by no means a newcomer to the glitz and glamour of the pageant world. At a statuesque 5’11″, the 23-year-old Filipino-American beauty has continually demonstrated her mettle both in national and international forums. Before her historic win at the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 winner coronation, she portrayed the United States in the 2024 Miss Earth pageant, where the then-18-year-old was given the title of Miss Earth-Water.

The move of the American pageant circuit to the Philippines was motivated by the existence of a deep-rooted connection to her origin. Bea was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to a Filipina mother from La Union, and has many times spoken of her wish to serve her mother country. She even relocated her life to the Philippines, saying she believed in the unlimited potential of the Filipino people.

Advocacy and Academic Excellence of the New Queen

In addition to her pasarela and gorgeous evening gown of gold beads, Bea is a mind and a mission. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she received a bachelor’s degree in History and International Relations. This is the basis of her Bea Millan-Windorski pageant biography that focuses on public service and social awareness.

In the high-stakes final Q&A, Bea was questioned about why it is still worth representing the Philippines despite the frustrations many people have with the country. Her response struck a chord with the selection team:

“I chose to pack my life into balikbayan boxes… because I believe we need to create local opportunities here so that people don’t have to go abroad and be separated from their families in order to survive and thrive.”

A Public Servant in the Making

Bea’s winning is perceived as a victory of the so-called modern Filipina- someone who is globally competitive and locally based. She has said she will use her platform as the Miss Universe Philippines 2026 winner to promote economic opportunities and family cohesion to win the fifth Miss Universe crown in the Philippines.

Coronation night was a star-studded event, with international drag superstar Marina Summers as host. Bea outshone a field of 50 first-round applicants and navigated through a series of rigorous preliminary rounds and a final Top 7 that also included fan favorites such as Bella Ysmael of Taguig.
