The Hills Lunar Street Festival brings Hong Kong Lunar New Year vibrancy to Castle Hill Main Street, Sydney, on February 28, 2026 (2-9pm), closing traffic for a pedestrian paradise celebrating the Year of the Horse. Anticipate food trucks: dumplings, ramen, dragon beard candy, and bubble tea; lion dance, Chinese juggling, stage show, and roving entertainment; family activities through face painting, calligraphy, crafts, wishing trees, pickleball, portraits and finally fireworks. The Asian market vibes are revived with NSW-funded street activation in the midst of the multicultural communities in The Hills Shire, duplicated to Hong Kong traditions among its people around Castle Hill Metro.
Hong Kong Lunar New Year flavors dominate with authentic Asian street eats and festive treats.
Lion dances, jugglers, live music create immersive Year of the Horse celebrations.
