“Frontliner’s Service and Sacrifice to Beat COVID-19 has caught the Attention of Mayor Vico Sotto”

Frontliners are facing an overwhelming and relentless workload in overcrowded health facilities. They work in challenging and dangerous work environments, not just because the virus is invisible, but because they are under-protected, overworked and vulnerable to infection in most settings.

For the past weeks, medical doctors, nurses, paramedics have been spending their strength and time to deal with coronavirus and how to ensure that they will also stay healthy as they take care of the patients.

To honor these frontliners, Mayor Vico Sotto expressed his appreciation to the frontliners through his twitter account for people to see that they are not complaining about their duties instead, they give their best whenever they are on duty.

This kind of gesture is something that people can apply to be kind and appreciative to every frontliners who are actually fighting the battle.

There are surely untold stories on how they face each day with fear, anxiety, stress and loaded works. The Pasig City Mayor has set an example for us to strengthen and cheer up those who are working really hard amidst this pandemic virus.

Nonetheless, the mayor stated that they need more human resources near to saturation point.

As for reporting, the Health Department (DOH) has reported 1,418 individuals in the country who have tested positive for COVID-19.
