Seven men arrested for playing football, loitering during MCO. Fined RM1,000 with 3 months community service

GEORGE TOWN – As the country entered its second week of the Movement Control Order, Seven men who were caught playing football and loitering we’re fined RM 1,000 each with three months of community service for defying the MCO

The seven individia admitted at about 5.15pm on March 26 at a field off Jalan DS Ramanathan in Pulau Tikus.

The magistrate’s court ordered K. Balaparameswaran,  K. Ghokulan,  Jamal Mohamed Abdul Karim, V. Narindraan, P. Logesvaran,  S.  Dharanidharan, and A.Shanmugam,  to serve the three months’ community service in lieu of three months’ jail.

They will be charged under Rule 3(1) Prevention of Control of Infectious Diseases (Measures within the infected local areas) Regulations 2020. Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, since March 25, there were around 120 arrested accross the country.
