MalaysiaMalaysiaMalaysia – Kelvin Pang Ching Kuen, Malaysia’s national esports manager for the Hanoi SEA Games, has urged the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) to announce the four players who qualified for the Fifa Online 4 (FO4) electronic game at the biannual Games in May.

He said that the four players recommended by the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF) had the ability to win gold for Malaysia, in addition to having a strong track record in past competitions.

“We’ve chosen four players, three regulars and one reserve, but it’s recognized that the FO4 game is subject to FAM’s quota, so player selection for the FO4 is up to them.”

“The names that should be considered to represent the country in the event are Muhammad Faiz Hariry Mohamad Fodzai, Gan Mun Kiat, Wan Muhammad Hakimm Wan Narizan, and Muhammad Asyraf Kamal,” he stated.

All of the players listed, according to Kelvin, have a strong track record, including becoming champions in the Malaysian Esports Selection 2022 for FO4. In reality, they have been undergoing hard training for more than a year in order to prepare for the SEA Games in Hanoi, which will take place from May 12 to 23.

Despite the fact that MESF is the country’s official regulating organization for esports, he claims that FAM has been given the ability to choose SEA Games athletes for FO4, as well as football and futsal players.

The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM) is expected to receive a shortlist of athletes’ names for the events.

Malaysia will also compete in the PUBG Mobile event, Free Fire, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Arena of Valor, and League of Legends at the Hanoi SEA Games.

The Malaysian delegation won a gold medal in the Hearthstone event in 2019 in the Philippines, thanks to an academician in electrical engineering named Yew Meng Kean, and a bronze medal in the MLBB event thanks to the Bosskur team.
