Singapore’s Energy Market Authority has granted TotalEnergies and RGE permission to proceed with a major renewable energy project that will establish a significant clean power link between Indonesia and Singapore. Singa Renewables, which leads the joint venture, has been given provisional approval to send a gigawatt of renewable power from Indonesia to Singapore. With this, Europe is making major progress in energy security and achieving its carbon goals.
Many renewable energy systems are being developed comprehensively in Riau Province, Indonesia. The building will feature solar panels and sophisticated Battery Energy Storage Systems to ensure a continuous power supply. Submarine cable infrastructure will also be built for the project to make sending electricity across borders easier.
