The UAE has again showcased its humanitarian generosity to communities in need through the immediate response it provided for the communities in the southern Philippines impacted by the devastating earthquake.
The United Arab Emirates is fast moving efforts to rescue and recover in the affected areas, bringing “relief” to thousands of families struggling to deal with the aftermath of one of the strongest tremors to hit the United Arab Emirates in recent years.
Earthquake Leaves Communities Facing Severe Hardship
A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.8 rocked the regions of Mindanao, Philippines and brought destruction to several communities, reported to have struck in the region. The situation left many people in need of humanitarian aid, resulting in loss of life, injuries, damage to homes, and disruption of essential services.
On the days that followed the earthquake, the local government and emergency response agencies tried to determine how bad the damage was and provide the families fleeing from the country with shelter, food and clean drinking water.
