Muar MP Syed Saddiq Abdul Rahman said that no one from the PN ministers have actually accomplished major KPI achievements but have become the best in giving out announcements instead.
He has questioned the government and the cabinet about how they have been carrying out their duties and responsibilities since the declaration of Emergency without having KPIs in order for the public to see and evaluate for themselves how they are doing. Otherwise, the people will be left with uncertainty as to how the government has been performing their job.
Saddiq particularly attacked the senior minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri for announcing the possibility of having a fourth Covid-19 wave and the announcement of the MCO 2.0 when there were no targets laid down to point at in the first place.
He stated that it seems like the PN government has been busy in making announcements instead of directing towards the most important step to take which is setting up a KPI for each minister so the public would have a measure of the government’s performance which they can monitor and evaluate.
Syed Saddiq began asking probing questions like how was their performance following the announcement of the MCO 2.0? What did the health minister achieved? Did the deputy ministers effectively executed their jobs? As the one in charge of the National Security Council, has defense minister Ismail Sabri carried out his duties successfully?
He pointed out the importance of having KPIs which is a standard practice maintained in every organization in order for the public to evaluate the results of the efforts made by the ministers. He added that the one and only KPI that was set by the PN government was to have the 80% of the population vaccinated. Saddiq said that the announcement of the fourth wave of the Covid-19 won’t make any progress and neither would it be something the people wanted to hear. Then he went on to say that it is useless to become masters in giving out announcements when your accomplishments and performances were never even evaluated.
