Boy Abunda, a veteran talk show presenter, just inked a new deal with GMA Network. With this move, he will be returning to the network where he began his career in 1994.
On Thursday, December 15, GMA announced the news on Instagram, posting images of the contract signing. Network executives Lilybeth Rasonable and Janine Piad-Nacar were also present for the signing of the deal.
“It’s great to have you back, Kapuso!” According to the description of one of GMA’s posts, GMA said.
Boy started his start as the host of the GMA talk program Show & Tell in 1994 and the entertainment news show Startalk in 1995, both of which he hosted alongside his long-time co-host Kris Aquino. Boy is now widely known as the “King of Talk.”
After that, he moved to ABS-CBN, where he became the host of the legendary chat program The Buzz for the network from 1999 till 2015.
In recent years, he has been interviewing a wide variety of people on his own YouTube channel, ranging from actors and artists to athletes and politicians.
