METRO MANILA – ABS-CBN Corporation confirmed on Tuesday that it will be featuring ABS-CBN shows and movies on the A2Z channel 11, after striking a deal with Zoe Broadcasting Network Inc.
According to the statement released by ABS-CBN, the netword said that a couple of entertainment shows and movies will be seen on a newly rebranded A2Z Channel 11, formerly Zoe TV.
ABS-CBN said that the network and Zoe are committed on working together to provide entertainment, public service and educational content to the public.
Rumors of the deal first surfaced on Monday that led to the network’s shares surging at P10.58 per share, a 43% increase.
ABS-CBN said that Zoe TV Channel 11 will also add SkyCable’s channel line-up in their platform.
Zoe TV is owned by Jesus Is Lord Church led by Eddie Villanueva. It has been granted the legislative franchise and authority to operate in key cities via VHF TV channel 11 in Mega Manila and UHF TV Channels 33 in Mega Manila and Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.
The network did not divulged anymore details which shows will be featured on A2Z though there are rumors that “It’s Showtime” and “ASAP Natin ‘To” will be airing on the newly rebranded channel. ABS-CBN went off air last May after the House Committee on Legislative Franchises denied the franchise of ABS-CBN Corp prompting a permanent shut down of the media titan.
