Kim Jong Hyeon, a South Korean singer, songwriter and actor, and Jeong Ye In, a South Korean singer under SUBLIME, have been cast in a new drama titled ‘My Friend’s Graduation Ceremony.’

Evermore Entertainment, a South Korean record label and entertainment agency, and SUBLIME, the agency representing Jeong Ye In, officially announced that the duo have been cast in ‘My Friend’s Graduation Ceremony.’

According to reports, ‘My Friend’s Graduation Ceremony’ is a comedy drama that narrates the story of a 75-year-old grandfather and a 20-year-old young college student. They become roommates in a university dormitory and their life takes a turn. 

Kim Jong Hyeon will portray the role of Kim Min Goo, a 20-year-old young man. He tries to balance his part-time work and University studies. Jeong Ye In will portray the role of Yeo Wool Lee, Kim Min Goo’s love interest and the queen of the University campus.

According to reports and various sources, ‘My Friend’s Graduation Ceremony’ drama will be released in the second half of 2023.

Kim Jong Hyeon was the main rapper of South Korean boy group NU’EST. He left the group last year following his contract expiration. Later on, he signed an exclusive contract as a soloist and actor under Evermore Entertainment.

Last year, he expressed his aspirations to be a successful actor, saying, “I keep auditioning and knocking on the door for various projects.” 

Jeong Ye In is the former maknae of the girl group Lovelyz. She made her debut in 2022 with the digital single “Plus n Minus”. She has also acted in some Korean dramas. 

Earlier, Jeong Ye In was in the limelight for dating BTS Jungkook.
