Jisoo’s already impressive resume just got even longer! A member of the girl group Blackpink just took home a prize at the 17th Seoul International Drama Awards for her performance in the critically acclaimed Korean television drama Snowdrop.

She defeated Lee Seyoung, who had been nominated for her performance in The Red Sleeve Cuff, and Son Yejin, who had been nominated for her role in Thirty-Nine, by a narrow margin to win the award for “Outstanding Performance of Korean Drama of the Year – Actress” or simply the “Outstanding Korean Actress.”

For the benefit of those who aren’t already aware, the Seoul International Drama Awards, also abbreviated as SDA and held annually in Seoul, South Korea, is a ceremony that recognizes outstanding achievement in the field of television drama productions globally. The 17th annual ceremony is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of this month and will be broadcast live on KBS 2TV as well as the official YouTube account for the Seoul International Drama Awards.

YG Entertainment, which represents Jisoo as a member of Blackpink, has not stated as of this moment whether or not the Blackpink member will be present at the award event.
In the meantime, Kim Seonho was recognized for his performance in Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha and was given the title for “Outstanding Performance in Korean Drama of the Year – Actor.”

On the topic of groups, YG Entertainment made an announcement in July of this year that the girl group will be making their comeback in September with their second studio album of the same length, titled BORN PINK. This would be their first comeback in over two years, following the publication of their first full-length album, The Album, in October 2020. This comeback would also represent their first comeback in almost two years. The preview for the album was released the day before yesterday.

In addition, at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards, Blackpink was the first artist to receive the award for “Best Metaverse Performance.” This achievement helped the group make history.
